"Turn, Turn, Turn" is a great song by the Byrds. It is such a great combination of melody, rhythm, arrangement and instrumentation. It, of course, is an adaptation of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, which essentially states that God has willed a time for everything. But the composer, Pete Seeger, and the Byrds don't address what's the point of it all. Even the scriptural writer Qoheleth keeps saying, "Oh, vanity of vanities!" I guess, in lay person's terms, that would translate to "What is the point it all? God's done everything! Nothing new will ever happen!"

The point is Jesus Christ, of course. In him, everything is accomplished. In him, all seasons and times and reasons bow down. Jesus has clearly shown us the way to the Father, through the cross. In doing so, he has shown the point of human existence: quite simply, to glorify God. So in all we do, in all seasons, in all times, we live for God's glory. We make our lives count for something that lasts longer than this life; and that is something new. You and I living for the glory of God is the only new thing we could ever do.
